Using my own wedding invitation, a Precious Moments book, Disney princess books, and jewelry advertisements, I collage the overwhelming message that marriage is the end goal. It’s a bit much to push onto little kids.

Using Disney Princess books and Playboy magazines, I invite the viewer into a collage of the contradictory messages girls receive from birth. Especially in the context of purity culture, it feels as though we’re expected to be a Princess in the streets and a Playboy Bunny in the sheets.
